High vibration words – { Food For Thought }

As I began the quest to nurture and validate beings in expressing their Wellbeing Intentions, I struggled with the words Mental Health, and Recovery…I know it is used a lot under the Awareness Umbrella and the day before my interview with CTV I realized that it was pointing me to words that suited me as a Messenger of Hope.  After speaking to my Belief Coach…actually the developer of Belief Re-patterning, Suze Casey, she helped me find the words that suited my body-mind-heart-soul team.  Ah, what a huge sense of relief.

And this brings me to this present article on Emotional Wellbeing…doesn’t it sound better to your ear; feel better to your mind and heart?  Well, it does for me, and as the creator of Human Chain Link Of Hope Movement I give myself permission to share this vision with you today.

Once you read both definitions, I believe you’ll understand why I choose to use the word Emotional Wellbeing from here on.

Definition of Emotional Wellbeing as described by selfgrowth.com

Emotional well-being is not the absence of emotions, but it is your ability to understand the value of your emotions and use them to move your life forward in positive directions.

Everyday emotional well-being also involves identifying, building upon, and operating from your strengths rather than focusing on fixing problems or weaknesses. The better you are able to master your emotions, the greater your capacity to enjoy life, cope with stress, and focus on important personal priorities.

What kind of benefits can you expect?
Some benefits of gaining greater emotional well-being include knowing that your needs are important and that you deserve to have a life where you feel happy and secure. As you achieve emotional balance, you are able to identify your heart’s desires, take positive action, and make changes in your life.

With emotional well-being, you can experience:

Healing – from stress, anxiety, depression, grief, and other issues

Change – to transform unhelpful patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving

Self-confidence – as you gain trust and belief in yourself

Growth – to live more authentically

Leave worry, stress, and despair behind as you learn to lead your life with vision, inspired action, and an inner state of creativity. Emotional freedom is your ability to connect with your body and utilize emotions, feelings, senses, and intuition to guide you into an empowered alignment with purpose.

Definition of Mental Health as described by MedicalNewsToday.com, Medilexicon and WHO

Mental health refers to our cognitive, behavioral, and emotional wellbeing – it is all about how we think, feel, and behave. The term ‘mental health’ is sometimes used to mean an absence of a mental disorder.

Mental health can affect daily life, relationships, and even physical health. Mental health also includes a person’s ability to enjoy life – to attain a balance between life activities and efforts to achieve psychological resilience.

According to Medilexicon’s medical dictionary, mental health is:

“Emotional, behavioral, and social maturity or normality; the absence of a mental or behavioral disorder; a state of psychological well-being in which one has achieved a satisfactory integration of one’s instinctual drives acceptable to both oneself and one’s social milieu; an appropriate balance of love, work, and leisure pursuits.”

According to the WHO (World Health Organization), mental health is:

“… a state of well-being in which the individual realizes his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to his or her community.”
